Nuvix for Android TV and Fire TV: How to Install Nuvix TV

Want Nuvix on the big screen? There is a dedicated Nuvix TV build made for remotes. Here is how to sideload it on every common TV platform.
What is Nuvix TV?
Using a computer instead? Nuvix for PC and Nuvix for laptop run through an Android emulator, covered at the end of our big-screen guide. Nuvix TV is a separate build of Nuvix designed for televisions: larger tiles, navigation with a D-pad remote and a lighter install of about 15 MB (version 1.1.3). The phone APK is a different file and is not meant for TVs.
Supported devices
- Android TV and Google TV (Sony, TCL, Xiaomi, Hisense, Philips, Mi Box, Nvidia Shield)
- Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube
- Android TV boxes running Android 6.0 or newer
Method 1: Downloader app (easiest)
- Install Downloader from the Google Play Store or Amazon Appstore on your TV.
- Enable unknown-source installs for Downloader: Settings → Device/Security → Install unknown apps → Downloader. On Fire TV use My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps.
- Open Downloader and enter
nuvix.cc/dl?file=nuvix-tv(also shown on the Android TV page). - When the download finishes, choose Install, then Open.
Method 2: USB drive
- Download the Nuvix TV APK on a computer and copy it to a USB stick.
- Plug the stick into the TV and open a file manager app such as File Commander.
- Select the APK and install it.
Method 3: Send files to TV
Apps such as “Send Files to TV” move the APK from your phone to the TV over Wi-Fi. Install the app on both devices, send the file and open it on the TV.

Tips for a smooth experience on TV
- Use Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi for HD streaming.
- Keep at least 500 MB of free storage on the TV.
- Place the app in your home row so it is easy to launch.
- An air-mouse remote speeds up searching.
Troubleshooting
- App not found after install: look in All apps; sideloaded apps sometimes do not appear on the home row.
- Buffering: restart the router and lower the video quality.
- Remote not working in menus: update to the latest TV build.
